Tools To Accelerate Your Marketing Success

Listed below is a shortlist of resources I currently use or have used in the past to run my business. Over the course of my digital career I have experienced 'the good, the bad, and the ugly' of online software and service providers. What you see below are those I have come to know and trust and who have delivered great results for me.

Please Note: Many of the links on this page are affiliate links, which means if you choose to buy services as a result of clicking links on this page, I will earn a commission from the respective seller. This commission comes at no additional cost to you. Please understand I recommend these resources because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I may earn from them. Only buy these products if you believe they will help you achieve your goals.

Domain Registration

NameCheap is my first choice for domain registration. The service is solid, consistent, affordable and has a great web dashboard. In addition, they provide SSL certificates at low cost and the process to get them issued is fast and painless. And, as a side note... running a blog or any web site without an SSL certificate (makes the site secure) is a bad idea - make sure you get one for your site.

Hosting

Bluehost provides blazing fast hosting - shared and VPS. Speedy page loading is a metric becoming increasingly important with mobile users. Nobody likes waiting for a slow-loading site. Admin dashboard is user-friendly and intuitive. Customer support is excellent, as is their reliability of service.

Content Management (Website and Blog Setup)

WordPress. It's free, ?has the largest user base above all other content management systems, a huge selection of plugins are available, and it's super easy to use. (a plugin is an add-on to WordPress that extends its basic functionality and it's usually installed with a single click) Many useful plugins are also available for free, but most specialized plugins require purchase.

Funnel/Page Builders

Thrive Architect. As plugins for WordPress go, in my opinion it's the best funnel/page builder you can buy. Create stunning capture pages, landing pages, any type of page for that matter, and it comes with a full range of ready made templates. Integration with all popular autoresponders, webinar services and social sites is included. (a big bonus) And, it's a one-time purchase, no monthly fees.

Clickfunnels

If you're looking for a funnel/page builder that doesn't require you have separate hosting or a website, this is a great solution. Built by marketers for marketers, which means all the features you need are included with this online service. Comes with a 14-Day Trial, so you have time to figure out if it's a good fit. After the trial, there's a monthly subscription.

Email Marketing

ActiveCampaign. There's not much that you can't do with this service as relates to email marketing, list management, and marketing automation. And, unlike several other service providers, many of the best features are available ?at the lower subscription levels. Deliverability is excellent as is their customer support. Integration with other online services is extensive.

Tracking

Clickmagick. What you don't measure - you can't improve. Every savvy marketer knows this. This tracking tool is simple and straight forward to use, has almost every feature you would need to improve your ROI, and is great value for the price. The support and documentation is excellent.
